About Us

IBU Foundation is a non profit organization with national and international acknowledgement. We work to respond to emergency situations and inequity in community health care services for vulnerable people, especially mothers and children.

IBU Foundation has managed a project of over 1.5 million US$ in the past 3 years in the areas of Emergency Response, Health and Nutrition, Water and Sanitation, Psychosocial and early childhood developments, and has served over 400,000 beneficiaries with many different offerings.

IBU Foundation was established by a group of multidiscipline professionals who are dedicated to improving social conditions in Indonesia, especially those related to the situations of mothers and children. Our program’s area of intervention is community health, especially in health and nutrition, water and sanitation, and child welfare programs. We support the International Convention of the Rights of the Child in our various program interventions to promote child welfare.

MISSION STATEMENT

IBU is dedicated to strengthening management and program capacity as an Indonesian humanitarian organization to answer the crisis of humanity in disaster and development situations. Our mission statement is :
  • IBU is a voluntary based organization working to introduce young and dedicated persons to help others in need.
  • IBU is working through its programs to help vulnerable people, especially mothers and children from any disadvantaged situation.
  • IBU is working directly with the community and all stakeholders through facilitation and assistance in order to make them realize their own roles and competencies.
  • IBU is committed to promote the rights of children according to the Convention on the Rights of the Child in various program interventions.

ORGANIZATIONAL VALUE AND GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Independence: IBU is an independent organization unaffiliated with any religion or political party. IBU works in the spirit of professional volunteers devoted to support the value of equity for everyone. IBU believes in partnership in order to achieve their mission and vision.
