Logistic distributed to survivorsGeneral Situation
BNPB reported 809 people died and a further 241 are still missing. The number of severely damaged houses amounts to 133,739. According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the magnitude of the 30 September earthquake has been revised from 7.6 Richter Scale (RS) to 7.9 RS.

Situation and IBU Response
IBU Foundation with its volunteers network from SEKBER PA Padang, GALAPAGOS Outdoors Clubs and WANADRI has been doing assessment and response since the first day of the earthquake, more than  150 volunteers is working day to day in Padang and also Pariaman.

WANADRI based in Kabupaten Padang Pariaman has finished their assessment in Kota Padang and Kabupaten Pariaman, and has been assess all villages in the two Districts; data is available to be access by any organizations for immediate response.

3 Mobile Clinics team consist of doctors and nurses have been deployed since the 2nd days to cover villages in Kampung Dalam and Padang Sagoe. The mobile clinics team is visiting different villages to provide health access to the affected people in the area. we are expecting to deploy more doctors and nurses to conduct mobile medical clinics for 3 months in this area.

Water access is still limited due to damage of tank and pipeline of PDAM water in several area in Padang. IBU Foundation volunteers has installed 3 Water Bladders in Padang from 12 Bladers planed from UNICEF while Yayasan Dian Desa is establishing water treatment plan and water trucking to provide water to People to fill in the bladders with potable waters.

17 trucks of supplies is already coming from Carefour cooperate with Mercy Relief which is planed to distribute in Nagari Sikucur, Kampung dalam to cover all villages. The supplies consist of Shelter Kits, Hygiene Kits and Emergency Food Package.  The supplies are store in secure warehouse in Padang where our volunteers is repacking the supplies for distribution.

Shelter Kits also arriving from HELP which IBU distributed to Nagari Campago, Kampung dalam to cover all villages.

IBU Foundation are procuring more shelter kits, working tools, hygiene kits and emergency food packages supported by Caritas Switzerland and Trocaire, the volunteers in Jakarta are selecting and repacking the supplies to be sent to Padang via Air and expected to arrive and distribute this week.

Psychosocial program is ready to be carried out starting this week in Padang Sagoe and Kampung Dalam as our psychosocial team is arriving in Pariaman since today.

IBU has committed to do ER response to in water and sanitation, health and nutrition, shelters and psychosocial programs for 3 months ahead

Water and Sanitation
  • Installing water bladders and providing water trucking in Padang
  • Rehabilitate the water source for the community in Nagari Campago
  • Distributing Hygiene kits in Padang and also Pariaman Districts

Shelters and Non Food Items
  • Distributing Shelter KIT: tarpaulins, blankets, sarong in Padang Sagoe and Kampung Dalam
  • Distributing Working tools for the community to clean up rubble from their damaged houses in Kampung dalam and Padang Sagoe

Health and Nutrition
  • Mobile Medical Clinics in Padang Sagoe and Kampung Dalam
  • Health Promotion in Padang Sagoe and Kampung dalam

Psychosocial Programs in Kampung Dalam and Padang Sagoe
  • Play and Learn activities for Children under 5
  • Children Group counseling
  • Individual counseling for Adults especially woman
