Story: Courage To Take Responsibility

Written by: Lena Noviantriana (Operational Officer in IBU Headquarter)

Before worked at IBU Foundation, I didn’t have many experiences in finance. I just had less knowledge in my recent work field, after entered and joined in IBU Foundation I felt my skills to made financial reports have improved.

At first, I was given the responsibility to settle the employee tax and organization tax which has been delayed payment and reporting for almost one year. One by one, I learned with the help of General Manager of Operational, Novi Diansyah, I was finally able to settle IBU Foundation tax which had not been completed in 2014, and now in 2015 IBU Foundation tax has been reported on time with the e-spt system (digital reporting system for tax).

After almost a year as Operational Officer, from September 2015 I was given the responsibility to hold the administration & finance of the SMSbunda Project in West Java. My responsible were getting more and more difficult, but it made me learn new things again, worked better in making financial reports.

The one who helped and played an important role in my changes while working at IBU Foundation was Novi Diansyah because he taught a lot about the financial statements used at  IBU Foundation, tax calculations, how to report, etc.

I feel improved in doing work. I was braved to do something new. More daring to hold more responsibilities because besides being an administration & finance in West Java SMS bunda Project, I was still trusted to continue to hold my responsibilities as Operational Officer in Headquarter. My knowledge of taxes has improved, and since being given more responsibility I have become more focused on my work because of greater responsibilities. Until now, I still have a lot to learn so that my skills will more improve.
